OLYMPICS
The LES Olympics were officially opened yesterday afternoon with the Opening Ceremonies!
All students paraded in waving their custom designed flags. 
After the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem, students were introduced to their “events”.
Pre-K3 through 1st Grade students will compete in “HORNS” Olympics! They will be able to earn a 
GOLD medal by demonstrating: Honesty Obedience Respect Never Giving Up Success.
2nd Grade will compete in “FLUENCY” Olympics! They will be able to earn a GOLD medal by demonstrating mastery of: Story Story Words Sight Words Addition Facts Subtraction Facts.
3rd-5th Grade will compete in “STAAR” Olympics! They will be able to earn a GOLD, 
Silver, or
Bronzemedal for their effort and how well they demonstrate: Strategies Taking their Time Attitude Annotate & Show Work Review Work.
We cannot wait to see how many medals our Little Longhorns will earn!
